Through a close partnership, Novoto offers a CNC machining service. Outside services include anodization, electro/eletroless nickel, electropolishing, powder coat, passivation, lapping, optical polishing, stress relieving, heat treatment, chemical cleaning, and cleanroom packaging.

Currently, the shop is equipped with two brand new Haas VF-2 vertical milling centers and various QC tools. The shop is run by a highly skilled machinist with over 17 years of experience. The shop specializes in prototype runs and tight tolerance parts.

This service allows Novoto to run a fully functional metal parts (not SLA or SLS) quickly and help reduce the development cycle. Most companies without this capability often waits 2~3+ weeks for this type of service or find out problems after the entire assembly is designed and manufactured. This approach can be very costly.

Novoto can take the latest version of Solidworks & Pro/Engineer native files, 3D (IGES, STEP, etc.), or 2D (DXF or DWG) format files.

For semiconductor/flat panel display/bio customers, the final assembly and testing will be performed in a class 10 cleanroom. A particle test can be done using a PMS particle counter.

Novoto can also work with certified testing agencies to make sure the product meets SEMI, CE, UL, and other standards.
